Whether for use in wood burning and multi-fuel stoves or open fires, kindling is a MUST for starting your fire - with the Hellfire Pallet Wood Kindling Chopper you can create your own kindling without the need of an axe.

It's easy to use and even simpler to set up - with a sleek and space-efficient design it can be screwed onto any flat surface such as a tree stump or a bread board. We advise pre-cutting pallet wood into 6" to 8" (150 > 200mm) lengths and then giving a whack with a lump hammer or claw hammer. A nice sharp tap with a hammer works best. Once you get into a rhythm, it's really quick and easy.... plus good fun to boot.

Having the pallet wood on top and hitting with a hammer eliminates the risk of an axe bouncing off a knot. I've had a few nasty accidents that way. You'll also find it's stupidly easy and quick compared to those things with rings round the top.
